Kentucky DAR chapters, and compiled by Mrs. Ardery for the National
Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and later published
by at least two genealogical publishing companies. The following
extracts come from NDAR published records as well as two published
sources. Information from the various sources have been combined,
when it is appropriate.)

WEBB, James - nuncupative will. "Killed by Indians," proved by oath of Master
OGDEN, Stephen BOYLE, and Robt. ELLISON. James WEBB was killed by the Indians
in last expedition against the Maumees, made immediately as he started on the
expedition. He was leaving the house of Stephen BOYLE where he had for some
months resided. He took his horse by the bridle and gave it to an orphan child,
Thos. ALLIN, who resided with said Staphen, and said it was his desire that
his brother Benjamin WEBB should have his clothes, and Stephen BOYLE should
